The Bristol heat network is one of the most advanced and innovative projects in UK heat decarbonisation. As Head of Business Development in Vattenfall’s Bristol region, Jon Sankey is working to roll out low carbon heating solutions across the city, connecting new developments and existing buildings to the ever-expanding Bristol heat network. By 2030, Jon’s team is aiming to have the equivalent of 12,000 homes connected, supplying heating and hot water to customers through a combination of water source and air source heat pumps, electric boilers, thermal storage and waste heat from industrial processes.
